Why are so many people opposed to clifying humans as animals?

Im opposed to it, because humans beings so disgusting,while animals are not. We always see how beautiful animals are in nature, but humans not so much. Humans are selfish and greedy (im not saying all are bad), but compared to animals, humans tend to have a certain superior attitude that really annoys me, especially since humans know nothing about anything. We just created our own artifical world..
