Does my husband's choice sound too nicknamey?

I named our son and my husband is set on naming our next one. For a girl he wants it to be Laynie Claire. Its okay, I guess, just kind of nicknamey to me. But I know a Gracie and an Ellie so I guess its not worse than those. I picked the spelling b/c I think that's the cutest way..Laney and Lany look ugly. So what do you think of the name and the spelling?
