Haunted Nursing Homes?

I do know that some nursing homes are haunted. My guess is that some of the patients decide that the nursing home is where they are supposed to be, and thus remain after they die, not realizing they are dead. Other patients might stay because it is a safe place and they do not want to find out what awaits them if they move on.
