Weird signs- Does this mean my best friend likes me?

Okay, here's the deal:My best buds and I write a comic/graphic novel together. Each one of us have our own character. Let's call mine "H". My friend (that i think might like me)'s is "A". Okay, He keeps putting scenes in of "H" having a crush on "A" in the book. One day I was walking down the sidewalk to the gym and I saw a drawing of 2 people holding hands with hearts around it, and they looked EXACTLY like A and H. Recently, my friend got a fortune cookie that said "You will have a great relationship soon. You are lucky." and he started scooting slowly away from me. He's always making stupid and funny remarks about the group, especially me. I have a feeling that he is doing that to hide his feelings and try to make me think that he doesn't like me. I want to know what you think about it. I'm okay with it if he likes me, but I don't want him to think I like him if he doesn't like me.HELP!
