Colic Questions and Alimentum...???

My baby is 4 weeks old and has colic. She is best on milk however I only make 1-2 ozs on Fenugreek so milk is not an option. Switched from similac adavanced to soy and now on Alimentum. I'm just wondering if anyone has seen a different result from giving the prepared liquid version of the formula verses the powder in a can of the Alimentum. Also, does it really make the gas and poop smell that bad or does my baby have some some stomach issue?
