What is the general opinion from the american people about the new french President Nicolas Sarkozy ?

I do think that Nicolas Sarkozy's view in making France a bit more like America is somewhat idealistic. It's great that he is considering different possibilities and I hope he is successful in trying out different things. I've lived in France when Jacques Chiroc was president. He was a good president, but the general ideas of improving the economy wasn't moving up a step. Hopefully with Sarkozy's idealistic mind, France can grow larger economically and help stop people from becoming unemployed. As for the immigrant issue, his ideas, no further comment about the issue yet.
