How can you pull an all nighter without my parents knowing?

More like my mother. Well me and my friend live far apart so we decided to do it over the internet. Sometimes my mother walks in, only like once though. . . so i dont know. its hard to hide a big laptop fast. Plus since its hot i have to the sleep in the living room which is DIRECTLY RIGHT NEXT TO HER ROOM. Its hard not to make any noise. plus i get hyper. So what can i do?
