Wait a minute, you can never forget Bootsy Collins and his Rubber Band or George Clinton Parliment/Funkadelic. As far as those artist are concerned I still listen to them all the time. Especially Angela Bofill, Phyllis Hyman, Teena Marie, Chaka Khan (didn't see her on your list) and Stevie Wonder.
