What should i paint on the background of my painting?

I painted a gooey red, blue, purple heart (mostly red) onto a lemon yellow background, the heart looks as though it is being pulled in half, it is drippy and gooey, almost like if it were liquid. i need something painful but simple to put into the background...maybe some sort of shape or zig zags....i dont have my frickin camera or i would take a snapshot...and i cant bear for another painting to go unfinished
